Foundation
The year 2025 marks a key milestone for the Alpine Quest International Foundation, turning a vision into reality: a human adventure in the heart of the Alps aimed at raising awareness of their rapid transformations.
On March 1, 2025, Alpine Quest I came to life through a 54-day crossing of the Alps from Vienna to Monaco, combining cycling, skiing, and trail running. This expedition documented the changing alpine landscapes while building connections between sport, science, and education for younger generations.
Beyond the expedition itself, the project led to educational initiatives, scientific collaborations, a documentary film, and numerous public engagements, conveying a clear message: mountains are sentinels of climate change.
The coming year will focus on growth, with new collaborations and the launch of Alpine Quest II.
A heartfelt thank you to all the individuals and institutions who contributed to making this project possible. Together, we will continue to make Alpine Quest a bridge between science, adventure, and knowledge sharing.

Mission & objectives
Mission
The Alpine Quest International Foundation, founded by Loubna, exists to inspire exploration, personal growth, and resilience through adventure. We aim to connect people with the natural world, foster curiosity, and encourage meaningful challenges that push boundaries.
Purpose
The purpose of Alpine Quest was to document the transformations of alpine landscapes, particularly the gradual disappearance of glaciers, while engaging diverse audiences in reflection on the future of water resources from the mountains.
Objectives
To fulfill this mission, the Foundation:
- Raises Awareness: Promotes understanding of climate change impacts, particularly on mountains and vulnerable communities, including women.
- Engages Communities: Organizes public and private events, educational initiatives, and collaborations with partners who share these goals.
- Supports Meaningful Action: Provides financial and/or material assistance to communities affected by environmental changes, both in Switzerland and internationally.
- Ensures Purpose-Driven Use of Resources: All funds and assets are dedicated exclusively to achieving the Foundation’s objectives, with no profit motives.
Through these actions, the Foundation bridges adventure, science, and education, inspiring both individuals and communities to care for and protect our natural environment.
